Learn the basics of hand-building in this immersive four-week course. You’ll explore essential techniques that you can later adapt to your own creativity and designs. By the end of the course, you’ll feel confident bringing your ideas to life through clay. 

Week 1:

Pinch Pot, In this first week, you’ll learn the basics of hand-building by creating a pinch pot. This project helps you get familiar with the consistency of clay, how it moves in your hands, and how to shape it with intention.

Week 2:

Slab Building. We’ll explore slab techniques, learning how to roll, cut, and assemble flat pieces of clay to create functional or sculptural forms, this allows for larger projects and wall pieces.

Week 3:

Combine Techniques. Time to get creative! You’ll combine pinch, and slab techniques to build a larger, more complex piece. This is where your ideas really start to take shape. 

Week 4:

Glazing! In the final week, you’ll glaze your pieces. We’ll go over different glaze options and techniques to bring your work to life with color and finish ✨

Dates available:

Wednesdays: 8th, 15th, 22nd and 29th 

Two times frames to choose from morning 11-1pm or before sunset 6-8pm.
